Become an ECCOTA Artist

Get to know us.
The ECCOTA Sales Gallery is a bright, clean, and welcoming space with modern fixtures and original architectural charm. Displays are rotated regularly so guests are always inspired by something new.

You’ll be in good company! We jury all of our artists to ensure only the highest quality and most unique artists are represented by ECCOTA.

We promote our artists and their work through social media, print advertising, and artist profiles on the website. Artists are always encouraged to host exhibitions, teach classes, and take advantage of other opportunities that we offer.

The gallery hours vary seasonally but we strive to keep our door open 6 days a week most of the year. We do not require artist members to volunteer time in the gallery. ECCOTA’s full-time staff and summer interns cover all shifts.

There is no fee to apply. Artists are required to pay a membership fee and exhibitor fee totaling as little as $42 per year. These fees allow us to cover a small portion of the operating and advertising costs necessary to keep the gallery open.

We want you to get paid! Our commission rate is one of the lowest in the region at just 20%, and you will receive monthly payments and sales summaries for the previous month’s sales.

You don’t have to live in Elk County to sell in the ECCOTA Sales Gallery, but artists within the PA Wilds region will be given priority.

“Why do we jury artwork? Exhibition space is limited. It is the jury’s job to eliminate weaker entries. Don’t let sloppy presentation, incomplete information, or poor visuals become the reason that a jury rejects your work.
Be sure to put your best foot forward.”

Artist Submission Process

Artist submissions are reviewed three times each year; March, June, and September.
Digital submissions are welcome at any time and will be reviewed at the next scheduled session. We accept submissions of visual 2D, 3D, food, jewelry, fiber, graphic design, letterpress, natural cosmetics, music, literature, glass, and any other handmade artisan and heritage craft goods. Each jury review will be conducted by the ECCOTA Gallery Committee and staff.

Please review the Presentation Requirements prior to application submission.

Please do not contact us about the status of your submission. We will contact you within one week following the jury review session. Upon acceptance, you will have 30 days to return all required membership documents to commit to your artist membership and begin selling in the ECCOTA Sales Gallery. Failure to do so within 30 days will result in your acceptance being revoked and you will have to resubmit for further review.

We will not accept unscheduled walk-in submissions.
Review dates are subject to change without advanced notice.

2024 Jury Review Submission deadlines:
March 9, June 8, and September 7

What don’t we accept?
We DO NOT accept assembly crafts, kit projects, hobby crafts, sketches, cell phone photography, heavily edited photography, pieces that are considered “unfinished” in any way, jewelry with no handmade components, copyrighted images, large furniture, etc.
Artists must be aged 18 and older.

Not sure if your artwork is something we will accept? Please give us a call to discuss it.
