Cold Porcelain Gardenia

Cold Porcelain Gardenia

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with a new and versatile material. Cold Porcelain is an air dry clay that can be used for jewelry, sculpture, and other crafts. It has the look of real porcelain but is durable like plastic. There will be a demonstration on how to make cold porcelain from scratch using materials you likely have at home. During the class students will use the clay to create elegant gardenia flowers. This is a step-by-step class so don’t let the delicate look of the flowers scare you. The entire process will be explained in depth and you will leave with a finished product.

This class is suitable for anyone age 16+ who is able to see fine details.

All tools and materials will be provided. Light refreshments will be available, but we recommend bringing a packed lunch due to the length of the class. Bring a notebook, pen, and green foam block to transport your flowers home. Wear light-colored non-fuzzy clothing.

The cost of this class is $50 for current ECCOTA members, and $65 for non-members. The non-member price includes an annual membership which gives you discounts on additional classes and purchases. Advanced registration and payment is required. Class fees are non-refundable.

Space is extremely limited.

This class will be instructed by Amanda Lewis, a The Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania Professional Artisan member. You can see examples of her work here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PETALGallery
