Jess Clontz developed a passion for crochet when she received the news she was expecting her first niece in 2015 and wanted to create something special. Through web videos and crafty blogs, Jess learned how to crochet a baby blanket and there the passion ignited. After years of making friends and family gifts of all kinds, Jess was encouraged to attempt to sell her hats and scarves. With a love for animals (in particular, German Shepherds!), Jess formulated a plan to use her crochet skills to benefit fur friends in need and in 2018, Humble Yarn was born, with a mission to donate 30% of profits every year to a local animal shelter.
Humble Yarn focuses on modern yet practical crochet wear and accessories inspired by the Pennsylvania Wilds region, Jess’s home and sanctuary.
